About Denise Hyde

My life has been full of the things I love--adventure, encouraging others, and learning new things. After college, marriage, a mission trip, and moving to a whole new city I took on my first year of teaching. There I asked God to teach me quickly and give me the hardest challenges to learn from. I can attest that He does hear and answer prayer!

I continued to teach for 7 years in two states. Then we moved to Texas, and God blessed us with our miracle daughter. Homeschooling became a new challenge as I had so much to unlearn and so much to learn.

During these years, I have been privileged to serve others by leading the women's ministry at our church for 3 years, sponsoring the Press Club KidScoop (the homeschool kids' own newspaper) for 1 1/2 years, and finding adventures for the homeschool families to enjoy as the field trip coordinator/officer for 2 years. God has given me a longing to see you succeed in your homeschool group leadership.

I enjoy laughter, photography, spending time with those I love, quiet times, reading and collecting books, hospitality, watching a good adventure, traveling, meditating on the Word, and being in my husband's arms.

By next year, Lord willing, this bio will have to be completely updated with a new family photo! Our family will be growing and welcoming an older child from Texas and an infant from China. What wonderful changes and challenges we are looking forward to--and hopefully soon. In this photo, you can see my wonderful husband, Lynn, of 18 years and our beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn (10, blonde) and Anna (8, black hair) (hopefully official this summer!).
